防水材料是建筑物的圍護結(jié)構(gòu)，要防止雨水、雪水和地下水的滲透，防止空氣中的濕氣、蒸汽和其他有害氣體與液體的侵蝕，防止雨水、地下水、工業(yè)和民用的給排水、腐蝕性液體以及空氣中的濕氣、蒸氣等侵入建筑物，同時分隔結(jié)構(gòu)防止給排水的滲翻，也是這些防滲透、滲漏和侵蝕材料的統(tǒng)稱。
