滲鋁板可分為兩類，第一類是以耐熱性為主的可以耐640℃左右的高溫，它是在低碳鋼板的兩側各鍍上20-25μm厚的AlSi合金（Si含量為6-8.5﹪）鍍層；第二類以耐腐蝕性為主，其鍍層是第一類的2-3倍。滲鋁板一般以熱浸或固體粉末等方法滲鋁。第一類耐高溫的形成AlFeSi合金層，第二類耐腐蝕形成AlFe合金層。由于耐腐蝕的滲鋁板鍍層厚熔點低，其焊接性相對較差。由于滲鋁板具有較好抗高溫、抗氧化和耐腐蝕性，價格便宜，已在我國石油、化工、電力、汽車及輕工部門得到廣泛的應用。
