熱鍍鋅鋼板可分為熱浸鍍鋅鋼板、合金鍍鋅鋼板、電鍍鋅鋼板、單面鍍和雙面差鍍鋅鋼板、合金、復(fù)合鍍鋅鋼板、彩色鍍鋅鋼板、印花鍍鋅鋼板等種類，目前市面上最常用的還是熱鍍鋅板。

熱鍍鋅抗腐蝕能力遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)高于冷鍍鋅（又稱電鍍鋅）。通常電鍍鋅層厚度5～15μm，而熱鍍鋅層一般在35μm以上，甚至高達(dá)200μm。熱鍍鋅覆蓋能力好，鍍層致密，無有機(jī)物夾雜。冷鍍鋅工藝用于保護(hù)金屬防止腐蝕，為此利用了鋅填料的涂料，在利用任何一種涂敷的方法將其涂在被保護(hù)表面，干燥之后形成鋅填料涂層，在干燥涂層中具有含量的鋅（達(dá)到95%）。鋼鐵在冷卻的條件下在表面鍍鋅，而熱鍍鋅是鋼管在熱浸的條件下對表面鍍鋅，它的附著力很強(qiáng)，不容易脫落。

Hot dip galvanized corrosion resistance is much higher than cold dip galvanizing (also known as galvanizing).
